DDR is actively pursuing value-oriented retail projects in top MSA locations with excellent demographics, strong demand and high barriers to entry. The overall objective of the initiative is for DDR to add market-dominant power and community shopping centers to its portfolio and continue to provide attractive returns for its investors.

  • Land or value-add opportunities in major metropolitan markets with high barriers to entry.
  • Project is greater than 100,000 square feet.
  • Property is located in a strong market with significant voids for national value-oriented retailers.
  • Project consists primarily of retail GLA but may include grocery anchor or mixed-use opportunities including: Traditional Power Centers, Urban Retail Centers, and Mixed-Use Centers (significant retail GLA).
  • Project achieves an acceptable spread between cash-on-cash yield and exit cap rate under DDR’s development pro forma / acquisition analysis.
