Looking to complement your college education with hands-on learning in your specific area of study? DDR’s many departments often look to college interns to provide added support during the summer or busy times throughout the year.

Interns are assigned a mentor within the department of their internship. Interns are challenged with specific responsibilities and are guided by mentors each step of the way. The internship program offers positions in the following departments:

Human Resources- provides a wide range of services to meet DDR’s strategic business needs through talent acquisition, compensation, benefits and payroll administration, training and development, employee relations and consistent compliance with policies and procedures.

Marketing- the department’s essential function is reputation management.

This includes:

Develop and maintain the DDR Brand

Produce materials in support of our leasing, development, redevelopment and expansion programs

Position DDR in the media and public domain as the premier owner, manager and developer of highly valued shopping centers, creating experiences that delight shoppers and enhance quality of life

Develop public relations, advertising, marketing campaigns and special events in support of our corporate objectives

Develop marketing and public relations programs for our shopping center management teams

Information Technology- works to help employees find new ways to maximize the amount of space DDR leases and the rents DDR collects. The department also develops and maintains tools and resources that help the department and DDR’s customers grow the business, be more productive and maintain a balanced life.

In general, the company is seeking students who have completed their sophomore or junior year in college. Students should be highly motivated to learn and possess excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
