David R. Lukes – President & Chief Executive Officer

David R. Lukes

David Lukes has served as President and Chief Executive Officer and has been a member of DDR's Board of Directors since March 2017.

Prior to joining DDR, Mr. Lukes served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Equity One from June 2014 and January 2017, respectively, until March 2017 and served as Executive Vice President from May 2014 to June 2014. Mr. Lukes also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sears Holding Corporation affiliate Seritage Realty Trust from 2012 through April 2014 and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Olshan Properties (formerly Mall Properties, Inc.) from 2010 through 2012. From 2002 to 2010, Mr. Lukes served in various senior management positions at Kimco Realty Corporation, including serving as its Chief Operating Officer from 2008 to 2010.

Mr. Lukes holds a bachelor's degree in environmental design from Miami University, a master's degree in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in real estate development from Columbia University.

Michael A. Makinen – Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Michael A. Makinen

Michael Makinen has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since March 2017. Prior to joining DDR, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Equity One from July 2014 until March 2017. Mr. Makinen also served as Chief Operating Officer of Olshan Properties from 2010 to June 2014, as Vice President of Real Estate of United Retail Group from 2008 to 2010, as Vice President of Real Estate of Linens ‘n Things from 2004 to 2008 and as Executive Vice President of Thompson Associate, Inc., a real estate consulting firm, from 1990 to 2004.

Mr. Makinen holds a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts in geography from Indiana University.

Matthew L. Ostrower – Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

Matthew L. Ostrower

Matthew Ostrower has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since March 2017. Prior to joining DDR, he served as Executive Vice President of Equity One from March 2015 and as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer from April 2015 until March 2017. Mr. Ostrower also served as Managing Director and Associate Director of Research at Morgan Stanley from 2010 and previously served as a Vice President, Executive Director and a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley from 2000 to 2008. From 2008 to 2009, Mr. Ostrower was a founding member of the Gerrity Group, a private retail real estate company focused on the management, leasing and disposition of shopping centers, where he was responsible for capital raising and investment strategy. Mr. Ostrower also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust, a public retail real estate investment trust, from 2010 to February 2015.

Mr. Ostrower holds a dual Master of Science in real estate and city planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University.

Christa A. Vesy – Executive Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer

Christa A. Vesy

Christa A. Vesy is Executive Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer, a position she assumed in March 2012. In these roles, Ms. Vesy oversees the property and corporate accounting, and financial reporting functions for DDR. Previously Ms. Vesy served as Senior Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer since November 2006.

Prior to joining DDR, Ms. Vesy worked for The Lubrizol Corporation, where she served as manager of external financial reporting and then as controller for the lubricant additives business segment. Prior to joining Lubrizol, from 1993 to September 2004, Ms. Vesy held various positions with the Assurance and Business Advisory Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a registered public accounting firm, including Senior Manager from 1999 to September 2004.

Ms. Vesy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Ms. Vesy is a certified public accountant (CPA) and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). She also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Rocky River Soccer Organization as Treasurer.

Aaron M. Kitlowski – Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Aaron M. Kitlowski

Aaron M. Kitlowski is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, a position he assumed in November 2017.

Prior to joining DDR, he served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Equity One for six years. Before Equity One, Mr. Kitlowski served as Chief Counsel of CIT Group Inc. for six years and as an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett for seven years.

Mr. Kitlowski earned a Juris Doctorate from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.

John M. Cattonar – Senior Vice President of Investments

John M. Cattonar

John M. Cattonar is the Senior Vice President of Investments, a position he assumed in May 2017. Mr. Cattonar is responsible for the Company’s transactions platform, which includes acquisitions, dispositions, and new joint ventures.

Prior to joining DDR, he served as Vice President of Asset Management at Equity One from August 2015 to March 2017, where he guided investment decisions for the Company’s $1 billion redevelopment pipeline. Before Equity One, Mr. Cattonar spent three years at Sears Holdings Corporation affiliate Seritage Realty Trust, where he was responsible for the formation, launch, and $2.7 billion rights offering of Seritage Growth Properties (NYSE: SRG), after directing the redevelopment of more than 1.5 million square feet of retail assets throughout the United States.

Mr. Cattonar earned a Master of Science in real estate development from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Joseph E. Chura – Senior Vice President of Construction Management

Joseph E. Chura

Joesph E. Chura is the Senior Vice President of Construction Management, a position he assumed in January 2014. Mr. Chura is responsible for the Company’s construction and tenant coordination projects. Under Mr. Chura’s direction, design and construction activities for new development, redevelopment and tenant coordination projects are executed coast-to-coast and in Puerto Rico at the company’s almost 300 properties. Since joining the company in 2000, Mr. Chura has served as Tenant Coordinator, Senior Tenant Coordinator, Project Manager, Director and Senior Director of Tenant Coordination.

Prior to joining DDR, he served ten years in the architectural field, primarily with a large Cleveland-based architectural firm.

Mr. Chura earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University. He is a director on the boards of Tremont West Development Corp. (a neighborhood community development organization) and the YMCA of Greater Cleveland. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Eric C. Cotton – Deputy General Counsel & Corporate Compliance Officer

Eric C. Cotton

Eric C. Cotton is the Deputy General Counsel & Corporate Compliance Officer, a position he assumed in March 2016. Mr. Cotton is responsible for the Company’s litigation, risk management and compliance matters and provides legal support for its operations.

Prior to joining DDR, he served as General Counsel for Equivest Finance, Inc., a publicly traded real estate development and finance business based in Syracuse, New York. He has also held positions in the legal departments of the Pyramid Companies and the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation.

Mr. Cotton earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Akron School of Law and holds a bachelor of arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Michael Deering – Senior Vice President of Funds Management

Michael Deering

Michael Deering is the Senior Vice President of Funds Management, a position he assumed in May 2017. Mr. Deering is responsible for overseeing the asset management, reporting and investment functions for the Company’s joint venture platform. Since joining the Company in 2006, Mr. Deering has served as Vice President of Funds Management, Senior Director of Funds Management, Director of Funds Management and Director of Investor Relations.

Mr. Deering is a graduate of Gannon University, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. He is a director on the board and active volunteer for Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Maria Manley-Dutton – Deputy General Counsel

Maria Manley-Dutton

Maria Manley-Dutton is the Deputy General Counsel of the Real Estate and Leasing Group of the Legal Department, a position she assumed in May 2015. Ms. Manley-Dutton supervises a staff of attorneys, lease negotiators, paralegals and legal assistants who handle all the lease negotiations and outparcel sales for the Company.

Prior to joining DDR, she served as an attorney with The Cafaro Company, and as a State and Local Tax Consultant with Ernst & Young.

Ms. Manley-Dutton earned her bachelor’s degree from Mercer University, and her law degree from The University of Akron. She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a member of the Planning Committee for the ICSC Law Conference. Ms. Manley-Dutton was the recipient of the 2010 YWCA Women of Professional Excellence award.

Conor Fennerty – Senior Vice President of Capital Markets

Conor Fennerty

Conor Fennerty is the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets, a position he assumed in April 2017. Mr. Fennerty is responsible for capital raising activities and management of the Company's planning and analysis functions.

Prior to joining DDR, Mr. Fennerty served as Vice President, Senior Analyst, at BlackRock, Inc., a global funds manager. Prior to BlackRock, Mr. Fennerty was an analyst at Cohen & Steers Capital Management, an investment manager specializing in real assets. He has also held analyst and associate roles at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Deutsche Bank.

Mr. Fennerty is a graduate of Georgetown University's, McDonough School of Business with a major in finance. He is an active member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Additionally, he is an advisor to the Georgetown University student real estate investment fund.

William J. Kern – Senior Vice President of Leasing and National Accounts

William J. Kern

William J. Kern is the Senior Vice President of Leasing and National Accounts, a position he assumed in March 2015. In this role, Mr. Kern has oversight of the Company’s leasing efforts in the West and Puerto Rico as well as its National Accounts and Ancillary Income departments. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Leasing, Senior Vice President of Retail Partnerships, Vice President of Acquisitions & Dispositions, and Vice President of Development – Site Acquisitions. Mr. Kern joined DDR in 2002 and is a graduate of the Company's industry-leading Management Training Program.

Mr. Kern is a graduate of Colgate University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics, and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Summer on the Cuyahoga, a civic leadership program. In 2007, he was recognized as one of "Twenty in their 20's" by Crain's Cleveland Business, which recognizes future leaders in Northeast Ohio. Mr. Kern also holds board positions with the Cleveland chapters of the Positive Coaching Alliance and The First Tee.

Joseph Lopez – Senior Vice President of Operations

Joseph Lopez

Joseph Lopez is the Senior Vice President of Operations, a position he assumed in March 2017. Mr. Lopez is responsible for overseeing the operation of all of the Company’s shopping centers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, which includes driving financial performance through cost containment and successful execution of capital improvements, enforcement of leases, policy and procedure development and adherence and ensuring properties are maintained at high standards. Mr. Lopez is also responsible in guiding the Company’s Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability initiatives.

Prior to joining DDR, Mr. Lopez served as Senior Vice President of Property Management of Equity One, Inc. where he worked from November 2002 to March 2017. He also served as a Senior Property Manager for Colorado & Santa Fe Real Estate Company from 1999 to October 2002.

Mr. Lopez is a Certified Property Manager and LEED Green Associate.

Rob McGovern – Senior Vice President of Leasing

Rob McGovern

Rob McGovern is the Senior Vice President of Leasing, a position he assumed in September 2016. Previously, he served as Vice President of Leasing, Senior Leasing Director and Leasing Director after joining DDR in 2010.

Mr. McGovern is responsible for overseeing leasing activities for the Company's assets in the Eastern Region. Previously, he served as Director of Real Estate at Burroughs & Chapin Company, where he was responsible for leasing and asset management of commercial retail, entertainment and office properties. He was also a Director of Real Estate with Kimco Realty Corporation.

Mr. McGovern earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the Max M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Michael S. Owendoff – Deputy General Counsel

Michael S. Owendoff

Michael S. Owendoff is Deputy General Counsel, a position he assumed in November 2011. Mr. Owendoff’s primary role as Deputy General Counsel is to lead the Corporate & Transactions Group within DDR’s Legal Department, which handles the legal aspects of all of DDR’s developments, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, commercial financing transactions, and general corporate and tax matters.

Prior to joining DDR in 2011, Mr. Owendoff was a partner at Jones Day, an international law firm. He has broad experience in the development, financing, leasing, purchasing, and selling of commercial real estate located throughout the continental United States and Puerto Rico, including single-asset and portfolio transactions.

Mr. Owendoff graduated from the University of Dayton, and received his Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL). He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and First American Title Insurance Company Cleveland NCS Advisory Board. Mr. Owendoff is also a member of the board of directors for Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity.

Kim M. Scharf – Senior Vice President of Information Technology

Kim M. Scharf

Kim M. Scharf is the Senior Vice President of Information Technology, a position she assumed in April 2017. Ms. Scharf leads the Company’s information technology security, governance and recovery programs, as well as deployment of enterprise content and records management. Additionally, she oversees application development for the financial systems, business intelligence, customer relationship management, mobility and web presence. Since joining the Company in 2005, Mrs. Scharf has served as Vice President of IT Enterprise Services and Senior Director of IT Enterprise Services.

Previously, Ms. Scharf held roles including Director of Quality Processes for Cole National Corp and as well as various positions within the Financial Information Systems division at The Lubrizol Corporation.

Ms. Scharf graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration, management and operations from Ursuline College in Cleveland, Ohio. Ms. Scharf is a member of DDR's Women of Influence program as an executive steering committee member, the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Additionally, Ms. Scharf is an active member of the OpenText Customer Advisory Council and the RealComm Advisory Council.

Jeff Scott – Senior Vice President of Property Reporting

Jeff Scott

Jeff Scott is the Senior Vice President of Property Reporting, a position he assumed in March 2017. Mr. Scott is responsible for overseeing Property Reporting, Financial Systems and Lease Analysis for the Company. Since joining the Company in 2007, Mr. Scott has served as Vice President of Property Reporting and Senior Director & Property Controller.

Prior to joining DDR, Mr. Scott was the Director of Finance and Accounting for the Mideast Region at Dairy Farmers of America. Before that he served as the Vice President and Controller for Management Recruiters International at its corporate headquarters in downtown Cleveland, OH.

Mr. Scott graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting. Mr. Scott is a Certified Public Account (CPA) and an active member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He also is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the National Association of Real Estate Companies (NAREC). He serves as the Treasurer for Spring Garden Waldorf School in Akron, OH and is actively involved with various real estate programs at Cleveland State University.

Craig A. Schultz – Senior Vice President of Strategic Finance & Tax

Craig A. Schultz

Craig A. Schultz is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Finance & Tax, a position he assumed in July 2009. He was promoted to Senior Vice President of Tax for DDR in March 2009. Previously he served as Vice President of Tax since March 2005 and Director of Tax since November 2002.

In his role, he is responsible for the long-term strategic financial model utilized in analyzing the Company's operational and capital markets initiatives. Mr. Schultz's additional responsibilities include the overall management of the tax function which encompasses strategic structural tax planning, implementing business initiatives, tax accounting and reporting, and tax compliance, as well as employee compensation and benefits.

Prior to joining DDR, Mr. Schultz worked for 10 years at Deloitte & Touche as a Senior Tax Manager, specializing in partnership taxation, with an emphasis on real estate tax matters.

Mr. Schultz holds a master's degree in taxation from the University of Akron and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA).

Mr. Schultz is a board member of The Gathering Place, a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by cancer, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Westshore Montessori School.

Robert Siebenschuh – Senior Vice President of Property Accounting Operations

Robert Siebenschuh

Robert Siebenschuh is the Senior Vice President of Property Accounting Operations, a position he assumed in March of 2017. Mr. Siebenschuh is responsible for overseeing the Company’s Lease Administration, Accounts Receivable, and Real Estate Tax functions. This includes lease setup and maintenance, management of the Company’s common area maintenance and real estate tax recoveries, management of all facets of accounts receivable as well as Tenant Services and management of relationships with the Company’s key national tenants from the accounting side.

Since joining the Company in 2006, Mr. Siebenschuh has served as Director of Accounts Receivable, Senior Director of Property Accounting Operations and Vice President of Property Accounting Operations.

Prior to joining DDR, he served in various management positions in Consumer Finance and Credit at Bank of America.

Mr. Siebenschuh earned a Bachelor or Arts in English with a minor in psychology from Bowling Green State University.
